AUSSIE, AUSSIE, AUSSIE! PRO, PRO, PRO!

The 2025 Wollongong T100 delivered another thrilling weekend of racing along Australia’s spectacular New South Wales coast. With the Pacific Ocean as the backdrop and huge hometown crowds lining the course, athletes battled through choppy swim conditions, a technical bike leg, and a fast, spectator-friendly run circuit through downtown Wollongong.

In the women’s race, Great Britain’s Kate Waugh put on a masterclass in consistency. Emerging from the swim among the leaders, she stayed composed through the bike leg before pulling away decisively on the run to win in 3:26:55. Australia’s Ashleigh Gentle, cheered loudly by the home crowd, chased hard for second in 3:32:04, while Spain’s Sara Perez Sala completed the podium in third.

On the men’s side, New Zealand’s Hayden Wilde continued his dominant season, capturing victory in 3:06:07 — his fifth straight T100 win. Germany’s Mika Noodt and the Netherlands’ Youri Keulen kept the pressure on, finishing just seconds apart to round out the top three.

Race day brought near-perfect conditions, cool early temperatures, light winds, and plenty of sunshine. Fans packed the barriers and cheered from balconies, creating a buzzing, festival-like atmosphere that showed why Wollongong might become the favorite stop on the circuit!

With the season finale fast approaching, the Wollongong T100 cemented both Kate Waugh and Hayden Wilde as the athletes to beat in the T100 World Tour. Waugh’s dominant performance showcased her growing command on T100 courses, proving she can handle pressure with poise. Wilde, meanwhile, continues to set the benchmark for consistency and race execution with each win reinforcing his status as the man to chase in Qatar. As the series heads toward the finish line can anyone disrupt their momentum?
