👇Watch a Cadence-recommended Netflix Series: Outlast isn’t your typical endurance film - it’s a Netflix Original TV show that follows 16 competitors as they duke it out in the Alaskan wilderness for the chance to win $1,000,000. It’s kind of a…sanctioned Lord of the Flies situation. Watch 2 seasons out now HERE.

These cannabis gummies keep selling out in 2024

If you've ever struggled to enjoy cannabis due to the harshness of smoking or vaping, you're not alone. That’s why these new cannabis gummies caught our eye.

Mood is an online dispensary that has invented a “joint within a gummy” that’s extremely potent yet federally-legal. Their gummies are formulated to tap into the human body’s endocannabinoid system.

Although this system was discovered in the 1990’s, farmers and scientists at Mood were among the first to figure out how to tap into it with cannabis gummies. Just 1 of their rapid onset THC gummies can get you feeling right within 5 minutes!

Tidbits

Protein isn’t just for the Gym Bros: Endurance athletes are usually SUPER lean people and focus on carbs & electrolytes as their fueling plans for long distance training/racing. BUT - studies show that endurance athletes can clean 5-10% of their energy by burning excess protein in their bodies. Protein is more than just the vanilla protein powder you see on your Insta FYP - getting whole protein sources incorporated into your diet is KEY to being successful. Read more HERE.

Tight Squeeze: In New Hampshire, you can flex your funky spelunky side & go caving. The Lemon Squeeze is a series of boulders, caves and tunnels that you must squeeze, shimmy, and crawl up over/under through. Not for the faint of heart or those who have claustrophobia…but on the upside, there’s a ‘tester’ board you can see if you can shimmy your butt through the tightest sections.

It’s All in the Form: Most endurance athletes that swim - triathletes, mainly - hate to swim. They learned the basics when they were young, and when the opportunity to call themselves an IRONMAN presented itself - they had to take to the pool to learn advanced swim skills so they could keep themselves alive, and swim 2.4 miles as fast as possible. Getting significantly better at swimming is a full-time job, but there ARE little tweaks you can do (like head position) that greatly improve your output and forward motion.

I ❤️ Running: If you’re anything like us - you ran competitively in high school, maybe college - and then you just…stopped. It’s really hard to stay motivated after running consistently for 10+ years under direction of a coach, and the support of a team you see nearly daily. Then, life gets in the way, you become a slower runner and lose the motivation to train hard. Running isn’t just a hobby - it’s a way to move your body in the most primal way. You should set the terms & conditions, with only 2 goals: to stay happy & healthy.

🏃Endurance in the Cinema

Red Bull sponsors not only DOPE endurance athletic feats, but also gorgeous cinematic videos that tell the backstories of these stunts. In the Arctic Ocean, professional kayakers full send it off of a glacier into frigid waters below. It’s not an easy feat, and includes a whole crew of people to ensure it’s pulled off safely. This is one of those ‘one in a million’ stunts that us age groupers and weekend warriors can only DREAM of pulling off.
