special edition: week 11
Miami T100 was a brutal event. For the men, they battled high winds, full sun and a HOT, HUMID day (even by Miami standards). On the women’s side, they faced full sun and then cooling temps once sunset happened. Both the men and the women's contingent experienced high DNF rates and a spaced out race. We can’t say that it was the most exciting race we’ve ever watched, but not a single athlete dogged this race; it was a gutsy race for EVERYONE across the board.
Notable performances not fully captured on video below, include Sam Long (went from last off the bike to 2nd place finish) and Lucy Charles-Barclay (led the race through roughly 4 miles on the run and finished second overall).
Emma Pallant-Browne was a dramatic medical DNF. She’s doing OK now, but watch her take on why she’s now had 2 mid-event collapses. Click here to hear from Emma.
